Monday, July 14 - Mountain Swing Social
I have designed this basket to fit a 9 X 13 dish with or without end handles on the dish.  Directions are given so that 4 holes appear at the corners of the basket.  The corners of a beautiful dish towel size cloth (28 ½” X 19”) will be inserted in the holes so you have a cloth liner for your basket.  This basket also makes an excellent bread basket for a large party needing several kinds of bread choices!  Also, two options are given for weaving the sides.

Monday, July 21 - Odds & Ends Tote
6" square and 4" tall (without the spindle).  This basket uses our very own Spindle Base.   The handle of this base is made of oak and turned on a lathe.  Very unique!   The basket has 4 sections to collect and categorize your odds and ends.  It is also great to hold silverware and napkins.

Aug. 2 & 3 -- Sat. & Sun. 1-5 P.M.
6th Annual Basket Boutique
"The Gallery" and "The Store" will both be open.

Classes are for adults only and start at 9:00 a.m., rain or shine.  This time is one hour later than in recent years.  Wear layers, because we often start the class “cool” and end up “warm”!  You might wish to bring insect repellent, since we are outdoors.  Bring your tools: shears or scissors, tape measure, basket tool (or screwdriver), needle-nosed pliers, and clothespins.  Bring a plastic bag to put your stained basket in.  Feel free to bring a drink and/or a little snack, since class usually runs through the noon hour.  If you are unable to attend a specific class on the regular date, we will be happy to schedule a special class for four or more people.

Call 218-682-3277 or email [email protected] .   Because of the computer being used during the day for business, please call between 8 and 10 A.M., when the computer will be offline.

Weavingly yours,
Ronda

A little bit about us – We have been weaving for over 19 years and have taught classes for 17 years.  Ronda has been a teacher at the Indiana Basketmakers Convention, the Missouri Basketmakers Convention, workshops in Kentucky, and will be teaching at the Kentucky State Convention in November.  We have taught classes under the canopy on IXL Lake since 1994.  We are both school teachers.  Ronda teaches 1st Grade and Jim teaches high school German.  We have 5 children and have been deeply involved with soccer for over 30 years!   We enjoy our summers Up North and look forward to the excitement of the basket classes.  If you have never made a basket, do come and join us.  You leave class with a finished basket!
